Beliefs

  1. The Bible: We believe that Holy Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God. The Bible is inerrant in the original writings. It is the supreme and final authority in faith and life.
  2. God’s Person: We believe in one God manifesting himself in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. One in nature, equal in power and glory.
  3. Jesus: We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became fully man without ceasing to be fully God. He was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life. He paid for our redemption through his substitutionary death on the Cross. He physically rose from the dead and ascended to Heaven, where he intercedes for us until he returns.
  4. The Holy Spirit: We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine Person within the Trinity. He is active in the world and church. He is gifting believers for spiritual service and empowering them to share the gospel. The gifts are to be mutually shared for the edification of the church. Some gifts, such as tongues, prophecy, and healing, were temporary sign or revelatory gifts and have ceased.
  5. Salvation: We believe that salvation is the gift of God, brought to man by grace alone, and received by personal faith in Jesus Christ.
  6. Ordinances: We believe that Christ instituted two ordinances for His church: baptism by submersion as a testimony and picture of our faith in Him, and the Lord’s Supper as commemoration of His death until He comes.
  7. Family: We believe that the family was instituted by God and is defined by the marriage of one man to one woman.
